Jolene the Sunbird woke from her slumber (she’s been sitting since November 25th) and we went for a 40 or so mile drive today.
Had to charge the battery a while before it’d start. It has a cheap Rural King battery in it that’s approaching five-years-old.
She has an oil leak from her valve cover gasket and the oil pressure sending switch. Both of those together cost less than $10.00, so it could be worse. But a bit of an oil puddle burned off the exhaust when I started it today and the subsequent little smoke show scared me half to death!
I still love it. Just under 57,000 miles now.

I think you may have the nicest Sunbird in the country.

Thanks! There’s not many of them left, but I’m glad I got to preserve this one
